Huli Avalakki(Poha)

Ingredients:
Poha(medium)-2 cups
Coconut-1/2 cup
Red chillis-3-4
Dhaniya-1/2 sp
Mustard seeds-1/2 sp
Tamarind paste-1/2 sp
Jaggery
Curry leaves-5-6
Peanuts
Turmeric powder-1/4 sp
Salt

Procedure:
  • Soak the poha in water. Wash and drain all the water.
  • Grind coconut with dhaniya and chillis.
  • In a pan, heat oil add mustard seeds and peanuts. Add curry leaves and fry until they crackle.
  • Add tamarind paste with little water and let this boil.
  • Now add jaggery, salt and turmeric powder.
  • Add ground paste and cook for a while.
  • Now add poha, mix well and serve hot.

Carrot Juice

Ingredients:
Carrots-4
Milk-1/2 cup
Sugar-4 sp
Cardamom powder-1/2 sp


Procedure:


  • Peel off carrots and grate the( you can also cuy into small pieces).

  • Grind them well and take out the juice.

  • Add milk and boil for few mins.

  • Finally add sugar and cardamom powder and mix well.

  • Keep it in the refrigerator and serve chilled.

Gobi Manchurian

Ingredient:
Gobi - cut into florets
Besan flour-1/2 cup
Red chilli powder-1 tsp
Onions-2
Garlic-3-4 fakes
Ginger
Corn flour-1Tsp6
Salt to taste
Soya sauce-2tbsp
Tomato sauce-2tbsp
Chilli sauce-1tsp
Oil to fry



Procedure:
  • Mix besan with red chilli powder, salt and little water.
  • Dip Gobi florets into the mix and deep fry. Keep them aside.
  • In a pan, heat oil and fry onions.
  • Add finely chopped ginger and garlic and fry for few mins.
  • Add salt sauté for a min.
  • Now add soya sauce, chilli sauce and tomato sauce, cook for a min.
  • Make a paste of corn flour with little water and add to the pan.
  • Cook for few mins and add fried gobis.
  • Mix well and garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot with tomato ketchup
